In July and August, Beautify Balham was joined by Cheeky Communications from Tunbridge Wells to launch one of their clients, Hyperoptic, who are bringing their broadband to Balham.
They set up a stand near our regular litter picking site at Bedford Hill Place, offered free coffee and pastries to our volunteers and helped us with the litter picking.
This turned out to be very successful as about 20 volunteers showed up and collected the same number of rubbish bags from nearby streets.
They will be helping us with planting in one of our communal garden spaces in October and we welcome their help and support. They have also become a ‘gold sponsor’ for which we are very grateful.
